Open House, Homecoming Service

and Barbeque

Sunday September 16,2007 10:00 am

For a special Homecoming Service, we will combine our usual two Sunday service times into one joyous worship celebration. This is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with family and friends, and or to meet the great people at All Saints for the first time. We particularly welcome students looking for a church home in Regina, those who have not been at church for a while, and anyone who would enjoy a chance to celebrate their life in Jesus Christ and have a great lunch!

Please join us!

St. Francis Blessing of the Animals

September 23,2007 10:30 am

We will have our first Blessing of the Animals Service on Sunday, September 23rd 2007 at 10:30 a.m. This tradition has evolved around the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, which lands on October 4th each year.

Because St. Francis had a great love of all creation, there are several tender-hearted stories around his interaction with animals (even a wolf) and St. Francis is often considered the Patron Saint of animals.

The service will include readings, prayers centered around both people and animals, nature-oriented hymns and songs, and the blessing of animals. There will be no communion that day. Folks are encouraged to bring their pets to be blessed. Protective rugs will be placed in the aisles and snacks for both people and their creatures will be available in the hall after the service. Discretion would be appreciated depending how comfortable your animal is with others. All Animals should be in a cage or on a leash or lead.

Participants in the service are invited to share how God has touched them through their pets. Some people have found some lightness during times of grief as they interact with their pets. Others find they learn a great deal from nature and animals that is applicable to their lives. Prime examples can be found in people like Monte Roberts the original Horse Whisperer. God’s creation is a wonderful thing and we will celebrate the gift of our natural environment.

Please come and help us celebrate God’s creation!

Dedication of the "Jesus and the Children" Stained Glass Window

Sunday, September 30th,2007 10:30 a.m.

We are blessed to receive a beautiful stained glass window which will hang in the entrance to our sanctuary. Margaret Hatton, our beloved organist, had the window moved from St. Barnabas Church in Moose Jaw when that building was sold. The window is a memorial to the many years of faithful service of Margaret’ s father, Canon Ernest Fisher.  Thank you Margaret!

Please join us for this special service and reception to follow!

Turkey Supper 2008

St. Patrick’s Dinner and Evening – Saturday, March 15th, 2008

For the last three years, we have hosted a St. Patrick’s Day social evening. This past March we had Celtic Music and two Celtic Dances by Celtic Dancer, Charleah O’Callahan. The choir led the singing with Margaret Hatton (keyboard), Rev. Trish (guitar) and her husband, Art Howell playing the block flute. Our traditional meal is Beef Stew, coleslaw and desserts. Beer, especially Guinness, and wine is available for purchase. "Good food and good company" has always been the intention of this evening, a time to relax with friends.

Turkey DinnerSaturday, October 20th, 2007

(4:30/5:30/6:30 p.m. sittings)

Fall is Turkey Supper time in towns and cities throughout the prairies, and All Saints’ supper has established a reputation as one of the best. We serve a traditional harvest dinner menu of roast turkey with all the accompaniments you expect, including turnips! Our food is excellent and our servings are generous. Our Supper usually sells out in advance of the day, so it is a good idea to call the Church Office early and have tickets set aside for you and your friends.
